STEAMER THOMPSON SOLD.
Tonawanda, May 1. -- Capt. Fred Eber of Tonawanda has purchased the steamer E. E. THOMPSON of the Kelley Lumber Company of Travis City, Mich. William H. Garrett of this city, who will be chief engineer on the steamer, left last evening for Chicago to prepare the vessel for her first trip of the season. A load of lumber will be brought to Tonawanda, after which the THOMPSON will leave for Quebec to engage in the coal trade between that city and Montreal.
