A new fore and aft schooner, the G.M. CHAPMAN, built by Geo. S. Wicks, of this city, owned by James Peck, of Chicago, is now lying in the creek, nearly ready for sea. She is 120 ft. keel, 26 ft. beam, 11 ft. hold, strongly constructed, with all recent improvements and especially intended for good sailing. She will go to Erie in a day or two and take in a load of coal for Chicago.
