SEIZED FOR SMUGGLING. -- U. S. Marshal Bill and his efficient corps of assistants have not succeeded in putting a stop to the operations of smugglers -- yet it is hardly possible for those engaged in the business to avoid detection, so vigilant are the officers. On Wednesday last the schooner IAGO was seized at Vermilion on the charge of smuggling; on the 18th Marshal Bill arrested N. W. Andress at Florence, Erie, Co., and on the 20th arrested N. Andress on the charge of smuggling liquor. Both were required to give bail for their appearance at court.
