SALE OF VESSELS:- The Chicago Press and Tribune says that the A 2 schooners COLLINGWOOD and ALTAIR were sold by the Receivers of the Lake Navigation Company, on a mortgage. The COLLINGWOOD brought $5,000 and the ALTAIR $5,750, both subject to all claims against the vessels. The vessels are in the hands of a Marshall on a libel. There have been claims entered up to the amount of $1,500 against the COLLINGWOOD, and $1,500 against the ALTAIR, but we understand but a small amount of these are marine claims. The COLLINGWOOD was bid off by B. S. Shepard, and the ALTAIR by John Maitland. Both vessels were built in September 1855, and cost about $20,000 each.
