      First Freight Through. - The steamer CHAMPION yesterday morning brought the first freight from Chicago by the Collingwood route. It came by steamer KEY STONE STATE, Capt. Richards, to Collingwood, thence to Toronto by railroad, thence here by steamer. this is the first invoice of a large freight that will pass over this route. it is the cheapest and most expeditious route for the freight and passengers to the Upper Lake ports.
      The CHAMPION took a large freight on her return last night, and had more offered than she could accept.
