Wahtenaw (Canal Boat), 1 May 1854

Description
Full Text

We saw at J.C. Evans & Co.'s dcok Saturday morning the new canal boat WASHTENAW, of 120 tons burthen, built by Van Slyke & Co., taking in her first load. Her "mate" the ELYRIA, also lies in the canal loaded and ready for her trip. We understand that Van Slyke & Co. have built for this season, 25 boats, of similar dimensions, for one firm in this city.
