The schooner MARS has been sold by T. R. Lyon to the John Schroeder Lumber Co. of Milwaukee for $1,000. The MARS was built in 1871 at New Jerusalem, O., her original cost being $11,000. She was one of the old Ward fleet of vessels which consisted of the MARS, JUPITER, SATURN, PLANET, HERSCHEL, MERCURY, VENUS and URANUS. She will be converted into a tow barge.
