The Collingwood Dry Dock & Ship Building Co. has launched the steamer GERMANIC, building for the Northern Navigation Co. This vessel is 190 feet over all, 32 feet beam and 12 ½ feet depth of hold. Her draught is 11 feet. She is fitted with steeple compound engines. Accommodations will be provided for 200 passengers. The vessel is fitted with steam steering gear and all modern improvements and will be lighted by electricity.
