Capt. Thomas Wilson's boat the AKSOTA, will be launched from Quayle;s shipyard, Cleveland today.

The new prop. KASOTA was successfully launched at Cleveland on Saturday (4/19). Her measurement is 265 ft. over all, 38 ft. beam, 21 1/2 ft. hold, with 3 masts, and six hatches, and is similar in build to the TACOMA and the WALLULA, also built by Quayle Bros. for the same party. The KASOTA will be ready for business by next Saturday, and will be used by her owner, Thomas Wilson in the Lake Superior trade. She is already chartered with grain from Chicago to Buffalo and will clear for the first named port as soon as she is fitted out. Her master will be Capt. B.B. Inmanm, for two years past commander of the HIAWATHA. Manville Hyde wil act as first mate, a position he now holds on the HIAWATHA, and the majority of her officers will be taken from that vessel. Capt. James Lowe, who last season had charge of the tug D.N. WILSON will succeed Capt. Inman as master of the HIAWATHA.

Capt. Wilson's three masted steam barge KASOTA was successfully launched last Saturday. Her dimensions are: 245 feet keel, 263 feet over all, 38 feet beam and 21½ feet hold. The hull is painted green with white bulwarks and upper works.
