West Superior parties who are talking of raising the steamer PEWABIC from Lake Superior say that in event of success they will direct attention to the ATLANTIC, a vessel sunk in 133 feet of water off Long point, Lake Erie, with a safe containing a large sum of money. It might be well to make some inquiry regarding this safe before taking the risk and expense connected with looking for it in 133 feet of water. The safe in the ATLANTIC was raised, and if the work was not done by John B. Quinn of Detroit he can tell something about it. It might be well also to remind the wreckers who propose to raise the PEWABIC that the Detroit owners of the boat may have some claim on the valuable copper cargo in event of success with the work.
