      The barge B.W. JENNESS has been rebuilt at a cost of $8,000. She has been given new cants and a ceiling aft, entire new deck frame and deck, new bulwarks, stanchions, waterway, main rails, and quick work and new shear strake, A raised deck has been built froward; enlarging the quarters for the crew, and the Marine Iron Company built covering for the new steam winch. Steel arches have been placed on each side and a 20 x + inch steel plate on each side of the keelson. The "hog post" and rods have been removed and three Masts, with steel rigging have been placed in.
