Real photo postcard of the Deseronto Navigation Company fleet in winter layup at Deseronto, probably in 1908. Among the ships in port are the RELIANCE and the ELLA ROSS. There are two tugs and another smaller propeller also in layup.
Notes:
A relatively unpopular subject for postcards, this image of winter layup was postally used by members of the Rathbun family who owned the Deseronto Navigation Company, and much of the industry in Deseronto. It is postmarked Deseronto, 15 Dec 1909.
