Drowned - A sailor named Ryder, of Kingston, fell overboard from t he schooner MADEIRA, while she was going out of Port Colborne, on Tuesday. A boat was launched to pick him up, but the sea was so heavy that the vessel had to return to port, leaving the boat. A tug was sent out to their assistance, but the boat got into the harbor without help. Ryder, however, was
drowned. The vessel sustained some damage.
