YOUNGEST CAPTAIN ON THE GREAT LAKES

Wallace Hill Has Been Granted Master's Papers

Menominee, Mich., May 3. - It is declared that Wallace Hill, aged 18, and last year a student at the Menominee high school, is the youngest steamboat captain on the lakes. He recently passed the necessary examination at Milwaukee and has been granted license to be master of either the Cecilia or the City of Marquette , steamers of the Hill Line, owned by his father.

Young Hill has sailed the lakes for anumber of years with his father, and is well conversant with the waters and the handling of boats.
