Description
Full Text

The owner of the old propeller IRA CHAFFEE has decided to turn her into a steam barge. Her rebuild will be thorough. All above the main deck will be new, and instead of having her cabins run the whole length of her as heretofore, they will be situated aft. Her hull is in a remarkable state of preservation, not a plank or frame being rotten.
