MILL POINT:-Aug 27. LAUNCH:- - At three o'clock this afternoon, the barge TOBIAS BUTLER, being the largest vessel ever built on the Bay of Quinte, was most successfully launched from the shipyard of Messrs. H. B. Rathbun & son, of this place, in the presence of a large crowd of people. The TOBIAS BUTLER was built by the experienced ship-builder William Jamieson. Her
timbers and sidings, which are of the finest white oak, got out expressly for this vessel. She is A. No. 1; 150 feet keel, thirty feet beam and eleven feet hold. She is about 500 ton burden, and will carry over half a million feet of lumber. She will trade between the Bay of Quinte ports and Oswego. her value is about $20,000.
