BOAT LAUNCH:- The second steam tug built this winter in Meaford, was successfully launched on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large assemblage of people. She was slid off side to the water on greased timbers, and went very easy till she neared the ends
when the front timbers broke down and she gracefully met the yielding element. A bottle of wine was broken over the vessel, and the name of " FRANK REID "given. Mr. Robert Reid we understand, has a large interest in the new vessel. She will be used in connection with the dredge owned by Reid & Co...
