Description

The Racine Advocate, says that Mr. B. B. Jones, will build at that place, this winter, a schooner of 150 or 175 tons burthen, to be called the RACINE.
      Buffalo Daily Gazette
      Monday, November 20, 1843

NOTE:-- The Schooner RACINE was not built at Racine but Cleveland.

A strong W.S.W. wind has prevented a fleet of outward bound vessels from leaving port during the past two days. Several are taking on full freights for the Upper Lakes. Among others we observe the new schooner RACINE, Capt. Dorchester, she is full of merchandize for Wiskonsan ports. While speaking of this craft the other day we should have said that she belongs jointly to Sears & Griffith, Richmond & Co., and the Master.
