The new steamer built by Wheeler & Crane of Bay City for Henry A. Hawgood and W.A. Avery of E. Saginaw was successfully launched Wednesday afternoon. The boat, WALDO A. AVERY was christened by Mr. Avery's little daughter, Arla. She is painted jet black from the water's edge to the top of the rail, with a single red stripe.
