The Western Transit Company have bought the barge BEN BRINK, which had laid up at Black Rock last fall, from Hebard Bros., of Pequaming, Mich., for $7,000. She was towed up here from Tonawanda a week ago and drydocked. She will be cut down and fitted up with a full lightering outfit after which she will be taken to West Superior, where she will be used as a lighter by her new owners.
