LAUNCHING OF STEAMER E.L. WALLACE TODAY.
Detroit, Sept. 8. -- Arrangements have been completed for the launching of the big freighter E.L. WALLACE at the Ecorse yards of the Great Lakes Engineering Works this afternoon. This launching will be purely a Detroit event, as the steamer is being built for Dearborn Transit Company, composed of local men. Mrs. Robert A. Hudson of Fremont, O., will be the sponsor. It is expected that quite a crowd will turn out and the D. U. R. will have extra cars.
