Sloan & Cowles' new excursion steamer ELDORADO was launched at Black Rock yesterday afternoon. The ELDORADO measures 82 feet in length; 17 ½ feet beam; 7 ½ feet in depth and has a high pressure engine 13 x 16 inches, to which power is applied from a steel boiler 5 ½ feet in diameter and 10 feet long at a pressure of 150 pounds. The steamer is expected to be very speedy, and will be completed in about two weeks.
