Messrs. W.H. McDonald & Co., of Manitowoc, have purchased the new fore-and-aft schooner JANE LOUISE, of Chicago, for $2,800.

Schooner JANE LOUISE, of 131 tons. Built at Manitowoc in 1834 by Ryan. Owned by McDonald & Co. Home port, Manitowoc. Value $ 1,400. Class C 2. REMARKS:- Large repairs in 1856

      Lake Vessel Register, 1860

     
Schooner JANE LOUISA, of Detroit. Owned by Charles Bradley of Detroit, Commanded by Wm. Campbell. Built Cleveland, 1842, of 131.35 tons. 82.7 x 20.6 x 8.8 One deck, two masts.
      Enrollment dated at Detroit June 29, 1854
