Collisions- The Captain of the schooner W. H. MERRITT, which collided with the schooner NEW LISBON a few nights since at Point Au Pelee, called upon us yesterday to have the report of that disaster corrected, claiming that which has been already published as erroneous. From his statement we learn that the collision took place some three miles from Point Au Pelee. The LISBON, at first sight showed a clear light, having the wind free, but afterwards changed it to a red light unnecessarily. The MERRITT being bound down with the wind N. E. had the wind close haul, and, as is claimed, was not, according to rules, bound to keep away.
