ARAXES Propeller, struck against the pier when going into Cleveland.
      Buffalo Commercial Advertiser
      Wednesday, January 20, 1864 (Casualty List for 1863)

The prop. ARAXES, as she was entering Cleveland harbor, on her last trip to that port, struck a rock, when within some 16 ft. of the dock, and immediately filled and sank. She was afterwards pumped out and returned to this port on the morning of Saturday last.
