Forwarding of Salt.
The subscribers will under take to forward
from Oswego the ensuing season on the following terms, viz.
|To|| Ogdensburgh, - - - - - - || at 3s. || pr bbl|
|"||Lewiston, Queenston,or York,||
|"||Black Rock, || 8s. || do|
|"||Erie, (Penn.) || 12s. || do|
|Cleaveland, Sandusky, and Detroit,|| 14s. || do |
All storages included, except at Oswego, where 6d. per bbl. will
be charged in all cases; and except at Black Rock in cases where salt shall
stop at that point and be distrivuted to the neighboring country, for
which 6d. per bbl. will be charged. All dangers incident to the navigation of
the lakes and rivers excepted.
Payment will be received in salt at three dollars per bbl. if
promptly made. Salt destined for the south shores of Lake Erie must be at
Oswego by the 1st October.
Their agents at Black Rock, Messrs. Sill, Thompson & Co. will
make sales of salt for a moderate commission.
