LOSS OF THE BRIG "UNCLE SAM" - A telegraph despatch from Cleveland to the owner of the brig UNCLE SAM, Mr. John F. Stafford, of this city, announces the loss of this vessel, and adds that the crew are all safe and coming home. The despatch is from the Captain, C.J. Magill, but does not state where the disaster occurred. When last heard from, the UNCLE SAM was at Cunningham's Island, and it is probable that she went ashore between that point and Cleveland in the north-east storm of Friday last. Her freight consisted of 215,000 feet of lumber, consigned to S.T. Atwater, Esq., and we believe was insured. The vessel was insured for $3,000 in the office of the Columbus Co.

The Commercial of last evening, has the following: - Capt. Magill, of the brig UNCLE SAM, informs us that his vessel was run ashore at Cunningham's Island, and now lies there a total wreck. The deck load, consisting of of 60,000 feet of lumber, was thrown overboard, and is strewed along shore between Sandusky and Grand River. The balance about 160,000 feet, was saved, and the most of that thrown overboard, it is thought, will be saved.
