WARD, JOSEPH Schooner, with a cargo of 10,000 bushels of wheat. Sunk by striking north pier at buffalo.

      SUNK. - The schooner JO. WARD, having on board a cargo of 10,000 bushels wheat, in making the harbor yesterday forenoon, was carried by the strong current in the Creek, against the north pier - had a hole stove in her side, and was sunk in about two fathoms water. The wheat was consigned to Messrs. H.H. Sizer & Co., and was insured - 3,000 bushels in the Mutual Company of this city, the vessel and the balance of the cargo, in the Winconsin Fire Marine Unsurance Company. The wheat will be greatly damaged, if not a total loss. The vessel will probably be raised. - Morning Express.

      ACCIDENT TO THE SCHOONER JOSEPH WARD. -- The schooner Jo. WARD, Captain Sherwood, in attempting to make the harbor yesterday morning, against a strong current out of the creek, ran against the north pier, stove a hole in her bottom and sank. She had a cargo of 10,200 bushels of wheat, 230 kegs of lard, shipped at Milwaukee and St. Joseph, consigned to Sizer & Co. The wheat will be much damaged, if not entirely ruined, and the vessel is in a dangerous situation. -- Buffalo News.

SUNK - The schooner JOSEPH WARD, loaded with wheat from the upper lakes, in attempting to make the port of Buffalo on Monday morning struck the west pier and sank in 8 feet water.
The WARD had 10,000 bushels of wheat on board co-signed to Sizer & Co. and insured in the Mutual Company, Buffalo, and the Wisconsin Fire & Marine Insurance. The latter Company had a risk also on the vessel.
