Benton Harbor Palladium (Benton Harbor, MI), 8 January 1869

Description
Full Text

The schooner A. P. Dutton, belonging to P. M. Kinney, of this town, is missing. She left Chicago on the evening of Dec. 8th, for this place. Since that time nothing has been heard of her. At the time of leaving Chicago the wind was blowing lightly from the southwest, while here it was blowing almost a gale from the northwest, and continuing several days, and it is feared she foundered in it. The vessel was in charge of Capt. Joseph McLean, of Chicago, and there were also on board James Campbell, of this town, and one or two others whose names are not known. She also had quite an amount of goods on board, for parties in this village and St. Joseph.
