The propeller St. NICHOLAS arrived from Oswego early yesterday morning, with over 100 tons of freight for our merchants. She had been detained several days in Oswego, the late gale having driven the ice back to Oswego Harbor, and done considerable damage. The schooners SYLPH and JOHN POTTER were both driven ashore the latter lost anchor and chain, and it is feared the former will become a total wreck. Captain Williams reports large quantities of floating ice on the lake. The St. NICHOLAS will leave again on Monday with a full load of flour.
