MARINE DISASTER.--Schooner NORTH CAPE, Capt. Freeze, arrived here Saturday, reports having seen the schooner MAGIC, Capt. Winship, capsized about thirty miles out from Kalamazoo. Captain Freeze brought part of the MAGIC's rigging into this port with him, which he found floating, but could not get near enough to render assistance without damage to his vessel. Cargo will be saved, but in a damaged state. There were no persons on the MAGIC, the crew having gone ashore in their boats. Captain Freeze also saw another schooner in the same condition but could not ascertain her name, nor whether the crew were safe. These vessel were probably capsized in the squall of Wednesday morning. ---- Chicago Dem. Press

Her fore topmast is broken short off, and her rigging badly damaged.
