      Buffalo Democracy
      Feb. 28, 1855 (casualty list)


ASHORE -- News was received here yesterday morning by telegraph, from Capt. Pilling, owner, says the Oswego Journal, by which we learn that the brig H. WHEATON is ashore at the head of the lake, and in a critical position. Her cargo consisted of salt which was covered by insurance as was also the vessel.
