We learn from an exchange, that the schooner H.N.GATES, was driven ashore on Monday night of last week, at Fort Marquette, Lake Michigan. She had on about 40,000 feet of lumber, which will be saved, but the vessel will probably, be a total loss, as she is bilged and full of water. She was owned by C.F.Gray & Co.,and Capt. Simms, of Chicago---was valued at $5,000, and insured for $3,500
