LUDDINGTON Schooner collided with the Schooner E.C. WILLIAMS which was aground at the mouth of Buffalo Harbor. Property loss $500 (for WILLIAMS mostly)

The schooner WILLIAMS, in endeavoring to comeinto the Creek while the propeller
ORIENTAL was aground, was carried on to the Lighthouse pier, and was still ther
at dark last night, stern hard on. As soon as the water rises she will float
A large Fore-and -after, supposed to be a Milwaukee vessel, while coming in las
night, in the snow storm, ran foul of the WILLIAMS, ripping her from stem to
stern; the fore-and-after either became entangled in the WILLIAMS rigging, or
else also went on to the pier, as both vessels lay there at dark. The marine
inspectors were preparing to go to their assistance, last evening.

The schooner that were reported on the Lighthouse pier yesterday morning, were the
E.C. WILLIAMS, and the LEWIS LUDDINGTON, both loaded with wheat. They were
got off about 4 o'clock yesterday morning, and came into port. The E.C. WILLIAMS
had all her bulwarks on one side, and her cabin stove in, and had about eight inches
solid ice on her decks.
