MANSFIELD Schooner, ashore at Euclid, Lake Erie. Property loss $4,000

The schooner MANSFIELD, with a cargo of coal, salt and iron, went ashore at Euclid at 11 A. M. on Monday, having been much disabled in the gale. The vessel and cargo will probably be a total loss, the crew were saved.

Capt. R.C. Gunning has called upon the Cleveland Herald, and reports his vessel, the schooner MANSFIELD, ashore near Euclid Creek. Crew all safe. The MANSFIELD went ashore about 10:30 o'clock Monday morning. She was loaded with coal, iron and soap; and bound for Detroit. She will be a total wreck. The vessel was owned by A. Anderson, of Buffalo, and the captain, and was insured in the Etna, and Buffalo Mutual. The cargo was also insured.

Contracts have been made to get off the schooners PEARL and MANSFIELD, and take them to Cleveland.

The schooner MANSFIELD, which was wrecked near Euclid Creek last december, has been got off, under the direction of Captain D.Chapman, of Conneaut, and was yesterday towed in by the propeller OREGON. She leaks badly, and will go into the dry dock in a day or two. She is owned in Buffalo. ---- Cleveland Herald

VESSEL SALE. -- The schooner MANSFIELD, which went ashore at Euclid, last fall, has been put in thorough repair this spring at Cleveland, and has been sold by the Underwriters, the Aetna and Buffalo Mutual Insurance Companies, to H.K. Vilele, of this city, for $6,000.
