MARBLE, DAN Schooner, lost one man on Lake Huron.
      Buffalo Express
      Jan. 2, 1854 (casualty list)

A young man named John McClelland, a hand on board the schr. DAN MARBLE, was lost overboard on the 4th. inst., on Lake Huron on the vessel's downward trip. He was knocked overboard by the main boom, and as a heavy sea was rolling at the time, it was impossible to make any effort to rescue him.
