THE BRIG JOHN YOUNG. - Capt. Christain, of the schooner COURTRIGHT, reports that on the 2nd. inst., off Port Stanley, near the middle of Lake Erie, he fell in with a large quantity of butt staves, marked H. & A. He picked up and landed here 2800, and also three trunks - one belonging to Capt. David Hunter, of the brig JOHN YOUNG, one brook, one pail, two drawers, containing the Captain's papers, day book, &c. The yawl boat was near the staves, all smashed to pieces. It was the Captain's opinion that she had been stove to pieces. - Detroit Tribune.

      The schooner ANTARES, which arrived yesterday, reports the brig ORKNEY LASS and barque AYER bound down having in tow the barque JOHN YOUNG, which capsized off Erie on the 30th. ult. The crew of which vessel were rescued by the propeller MISSOURI and brought to this port.

      BRIG JOHN YOUNG. - This vessel, says the Detroit Tribune, was fallen in with the next day (Tuesday) after she capsized by the JOHN RAE and ORKNEY LASS, vessels belonging to the same owners as the YOUNG. They righted her, pumped her out and towed her to Port Colborne, arriving there Saturday morning. The RELIEF passed them in the night when she went up.
