The schooner JACQUES CARTIER, laden with nineteen hundred barrels of flour, owned by Messrs. Gooderham & Worts, of Toronto, went ashore near Colborne, on the north side of lake Ontario, in a storm on the 8th. inst. The crew were all saved, but the cargo is considered a total loss -- it was insured.

PROBABLE WRECK. - A correspondent of the Roch. Adv. says that 56 bbls flour were picked up on the beach, near the mouth of Oak Orchard Creek, on the 25th. ult. The flour is marked "Reading Mills, J. Cummer, manufacturer, C. W." Some pieces of a vessel also came ashore, from which it is inferred that a vessel has been wrecked. It is possible that some craft has lost her deck load, or it may have been a portion of the cargo of a Toronto vessel, wrecked near Colborne, on the Canada shore, a few days since.
