COLLISION. - We learn from Capt. Dobbins that the steamer MINNESOTA, of the
Lake Erie Transportation Line, bound from Toledo to this port, and the propeller
JERSEY CITY, of the Dunkirk and Toledo Line, bound up, came in collision off
Fairport, about one o'clock yesterday morning. The MINNESOTA was compelled to
put into Fairport for repairs. The propeller was uninjured and proceeded on her

STEAMER "MINNESOTA."- We learn from Mr. Martin, who reached this city on
Saturday from the MINNESOTA, that that steamer will probably be down tomorrow to
be repaired. The propeller JERSEY CITY struck her some 20 feet from her bow on
her starboard, cutting her down two feet below the waterline. The captain to save her
threw overboard between 4 and 500 bbls of flour and highwines, which brought her up
and enabled her to put into Fairport. She there discharged 1,000 bbls of freight, and
will bring down the balance of her cargo.
