Propeller ADRIATIC broke her shaft on Lake Erie, and was towed to Buffalo for repairs, June 1856. Property loss, hull $1,500.

      BROKE DOWN.- The new propeller ADRIATIC, on her first trip to Chicago, broke
down when fifty miles from Buffalo, on account of a flaw in her air-pump shaft. She was
towed back to this port, and will be immediately repaired, so as to leave tomorrow.
