The body of an unknown man was found on the beach about three miles south of St. Joseph, on Saturday last. He may be one of the lost seamen of the schooner Mary which lately went ashore near New Buffalo.

Column 1 The schooner "Mary", is most likely the boat that went down on Sept. 10, 1878, about 25 miles out of Chicago - according to the Great Lake Shipwreck file. Perhaps she washed ashore near New Buffalo, Berrien County, Michigan?
