Schooner HAPPY GO LUCKY, drove onto Chicago breakwater, and went to pieces, one life lost.

The schooner HAPPY GO LUCKY in attempting to make the harbor at Chicago in the gale of yesterday, missed the piers, and her anchors failing to hold, she went to pieces against the break-water, about half a mile south of the piers. The crew jumped upon the break-water and were all saved, with the exception of boy who was washed back into the lake and lost. - Chicago Journal, 14.
