      The schr. JOSHUA EATON of this port went ashore 9 miles west of the mouth of the river, early yesterday morning. The vessel left Port Hope on Saturday evening with a cargo of 3,500 bu. wheat for S.P. Ely of this city.
P.S. - The schooner was got off without much damage last night and brought into the harbor. - Rochester Union.

      SCHOONER ASHORE. -- The Rochester Union says, the schooner JOSHUA EATON, from Port Hope with wheat for Messrs. Ely, went ashore about 12 miles above the mouth of the river on Saturday night. She is not on very badly however, and it is thought she will be got off today.
      The JOSHUA EATON is a new schooner having been launched last season at Charlotte. She is owned by Burns & Farnconb. The master's name is Jno. Burns.
P. S. -- The JOSHUA EATON was brought into port on Monday.
