Revenue Cutter Manhattan.
_____
Her Officers and Crew - Retrenchment the Order in the Revenue Marine.
______

The U.S. Revenue Cutter Manhattan arrived in port this morning from Ogdensburg, on her first cruise this season, looking as fresh, as though she had been housed all winter. She has the following officers: Captain, C.A. Abbey; First Lieutenant, J. Hatch Parker; Chief Engineer, F.H. Pulsifer; First Asistant Engineer, James Ogdin; Pilot, Thomas Mullin.

The second and third lieutenants have not arrived as yet, in fact it is not known here who will be assigned to those positions. The same old boatswain, is on the Manhattan, but the Chinamen do not show up this season, and the monkey, which delighted the children last year, is not to be seen.

The crew will consist of eighteen men, seven men less than she carried last season, a move that has been necessitated by the order of retrenchment, inaugurated by the House of Representatives. The Manhattan will make her headquarters at this port this season.
