THE GALE AT NILWAUKEE. - The Milwaukee Sentinel of Yesterday says:
There are five vessels ashore within sight of this city. They are all south of the old harbor, except one, which is between the old and new harbors, high and dry on the beach. Some of them are in a critical position, but it is thought they will all be got off without serious damage, as they are lying upon a sandy beach, too high to be affected much by the waves. Those ashore, as near as we can ascertain, are the brig MECHANIC, schooner's C, HARRISON, MAGIC, STELLA, and PLANET.

The Chicago press of the 19th, says the only vessels known to be ashore on Lake Michigan from the effect of the late gale, are the schr. St. ANDREW, with coal at the Manitous, bark SONORA, with grain at Louse Island, near the entrance to Green Bay, four lumber vessels at Milwaukee, viz: MAGIC, HARRISON, STELLA and PLANET, and the THREE SISTERS, and a small schooner at Calumet. The tug SALVOR has got off the HARRISON, and is now working on the others at MIlwaukee; from thence she will go to the SONORA. The McQUEEN has gone for the St. ANDREW and on her return will probably wait on the THREE SISTERS, with aid.
