THE TOM DYER. - We learn that this vessel, which left here on Wednesday last, with 16,000 bushels of wheat for St. Catharines, arrived at Milwaukee on Saturday last, in a disabled condition. When about 50 miles north of Milwaukee she lost her jib-boom, and subsequent inquiry showed that she had also sprung a leak, and so badly that she was one third full of water on her arrival. Her cargo is being removed in a damaged condition at Kellogg & Strong's warehouse. - Chicago Union.

ACCIDENT TO THE SCHOONER 'TOM DYER' of Detroit. - The Milwaukee News of Monday says that this vessel, from Chicago, bound down with grain, arrived there that morning in a damaged condition. When about 50 miles north of there on Sunday, she lost her jib-boom in the strong breeze blowing. The Captain put about and ran in there, when, on his arrival, he found his vessel leaking badly being short one-third full of water. The cargo is some 13,000 bushela of wheat which will be taken out in a damaged condition. The Captain says he was not aware of the leak, until he arrived in port.
