GALE ON LAKE HURON. - The wind blew a perfect gale on Lake Huron last
Wednesday. We learn the the scow CERRO GORDO was capsized about twelve miles
above the head of St. Clair River. Crew saved.
The schooner FLETCHER, of Port Huron, is reported ashore near Point aux Barques.
The scow WHITTLESEY is also reported beached near Burchville. We fear those are
not all. - Detroit Tribune.

The schooner FLETCHER lies on the beach a little below Burchville. She is light, and
is lying easy, with her broadside to land. She will be got off. - Detroit Tribune (part)

VESSEL DISASTERS ON LAKE HURON. - On the afternoon of the 18th. inst., the
schooner EMILY FLETCHER was lying at Lockwoods dock, at Burchville, receiving a
cargo of lumber, when the gale came on, and being in an unsafe position, she endeavored
to run out into the lake, but owing to same defect in her windlass, she would not work and
was driven ashore. She will doubtless be got off without serious damage. - Port Huron
