      THE QUICKSTEP. - The Saginaw Enterprise of the 14th, contains particulars
of the disaster to the QUICKSTEP, which left that port on Wednesday, the 7th inst.
for Chicago, with a cargo of lumber. She encountered the gale of the following
Thursday, and, after laboring severely, was forced into St. Clair River, and got
under cover of land about fifteen miles below Point aux Barques. During the
gale she was forced to throw over her deck load. Her cargo was shipped by D.G.
Hollard, of Saginaw.
