Schooner SYRACUSE, struck by lightning off Port Washington, which damaged her foremast.

      The schr. SYRACUSE, when off Port Washington, yesterday, was struck by
lightning, completely shattering her foremast. She arrived here last night,
having worked her way into port in a disabled condition, and has sustained
damage to the amount of $250. - Chicago Times, Thursday.
