Schooner FALCON, lost two men overboard off Ashtabula, Lake Erie.
      Buffalo Morning Express
      March 11, 1861. (Casualty List, 1860)

      . . . . .

      Two men were lost overboard from the scow FALCON about 8 P.M. Saturday when opposite Ashtabula. The vessel was hove to and every effort made to save them, but the night being dark and the sea running high, they could not be found. The names of the unfortunate men were James Sherwood and Orrin James.
